Kindergarten Math Review Freebie

We are taking our SAT 10 this week and OMG!!!! Bless their hearts, that is just crazy to sit for 35-45 minutes at a time for 5 and 6 year olds!!! There, I said it and now on to the good stuff :)

I needed some sort of math review and made a quick card game. It can be used with any game board. Draw a card if they get it correct, flip it over to see how many spaces they can move. YES, just like Frog Games... if any of you have not heard of them, my kiddos LOVE them!!

I have made two versions depending on how your printer will print front/back. Mines old school and I need to feed the paper back through :) So click above or below for two different versions.

A Little Bit of Everything...

We have been working so hard to prepare our kids for our first standardized test (yes, in Kindergarten- I know WAY CRAZY) and I was beyond overwhelmed, exhausted, and frustrated... We needed a FUN FRIDAY! They have worked so hard and I know they will do great!

So here's a little of what went on for our FUN FRIDAY:

They had to write nonsense words that I had said and then some CVC and sight words.
Before they could have free draw, they had to write me a sentence... I'm a little partical to this one :)

Just being kids!!!

We started off with a little shaving cream...

but as you see, it became very messy!

We did a little math this week using Greg Smedley's glitter phones. SO CUTE!!!! I'm sure you all have bought many of his products... My kiddos love everything he does!

I decided they needed a little bit of movement, so I spread the phones around the room and they got to choose which phones to add.

AND THE COUNTDOWN HAS BEGUN... 19 days left with a LOT of fun days (School Carnival, field day, Kindergarten Luau, and Kindergarten Graduation).

What do you do to keep your sanity and theirs, while making it fun? I would love to hear any suggestions.

Sick Day and SAT 10 Kindergarten

How many of you would rather be at school than home with a sick child? My little one has been sick for the last two days with the stomach bug and I have cleaned EVERYTHING in the house. OMG!! I couldn't take another day of cleaning, so I worked on school stuff :)

Anyways, I have been meaning to get the Math part of my SAT 10 Kindergarten packet together this week. Today was a great day for it. So here it is. Please let me know what you think.

A Peek at SAT 10

I had posted before about this being our first year taking the SAT 10 and how nervous I was. Well after looking for some resources to help my kiddos practice, I decided to come up with my own.

It has been an extremely busy weekend and I only finished the reading part :( .... but I promise to get the math part done this week. I hope this will be of help to many of you. Please leave me a comment as to what you think.

Kindergarten SAT 10

OMG!!! How many of you have to take the SAT 10 (Standford Achievement Test) in Kindergarten? This is our first year and I'm kinda extremely freaking out. I just hope I have prepared my kiddos for everything.

We were given practice books and an outline of what to expect. However, I would still love some more ideas on how to prepare 5 & 6 year olds for a test like this.

I did find this site on Lee County Schools that gave a great break down of Skills for Sat 10.

I also liked Greg Smedley's Test practice page. Click below for his blog link.

If you know of any resources, please send them my way :)
