So are you tech savvy or not? My knowledge on technology is probably a 6 out of 10. I'm not the best but I'm up for trying out new things.
Thanks to Dragonflies in First and her awesome post on dropbox, I had to try it out!! Did you know that dropbox works with your iphone?! OMG- I am so behind in the times, lol. Now I can use my iphone to take pictures and share or print them from my computer without having to email them to myself.
If you click the link above and join we both can get 500 MB of bonus space. Did I mention it is FREE!!! (you may have to use my name to refer-Nicole Steele)
When I first started blogging, I wasn't sure where to upload my files to share with others. I have seen many of you us Dropbox, Google Docs, and Scribd. I personally find Google Docs to be the easiest for me, but I may have to try out Dropbox now. What webhosting site do you use?
How many of you use the the Blogger App for iphone?
I personally like it because I can take a picture from my iphone and load it to my blog very quickly. If you haven't downloaded it to your iphone you need to!
I hope I have helped some of you with a little bit of technology :)
That kind of sums it up!!! So what better than Spring Break and a little camping?! Well minus the camping... We planned to go camping, however with snow flakes spinning around us and 37 degrees (yes in Tennessee and almost April) we had to cancel.
So instead we have tried to keep the kids busy around here.
If you have not seen this movie... its a must!!! So cute. My kids loved it, however my son being 9 was way to cool to sit for a picture.
This is a great family game.
On to some more exciting games and a little building. I saw this over at A Differentiated Kindergarten and instantly thought this would be great for my kinders. If I don't win this it will be on my "to buy" list. You have to check out Marsha's boys in action. I want to join in and build.
With a little more time, I decided to create a Scrambled Eggs Literacy and Math mini-unit.
Let me know what you think. Anyone else on Spring Break this week?
I am so impressed with how fluent my students are in addition, but subtraction is a different story. The numbers just dont seem to stick like they did with addition. I think its the whole counting backwards thing that seems tricky. So during math everyday, we start with some songs to help with subtraction visuals.
Count down from 20
Five Little Turkeys
Five Finger Jive
I also created this St. Patrick's Day Cover and Win game to use this week in small math groups. There are 6 boards and directions on how to play. I will start off using dice first and then go to flashcards. You can give each student a board or they can have a half of a board with a partner. Click below if you would like to purchase it from my TPT store.
I also created a Rhyming Scavenger Hunt. My kiddos loved the Gingerbread Scavneger hunt we did way back in December and they're ready for another. This includes 6 places for the students to visit around the school. I cant wait to see their reaction.
Click above if you would like to purchase this from my TPT store.
Thanks for looking! I hope you are enjoying some beautiful weather like we are in Tennessee.
